Classic style complements contemporary details in this art-deco landmark building. “Each custom suite was designed with the needs of all travelers in mind,” says DC-based artist Kevin Adams, whose vision molded the furnishings of this newly renovated hotel. Suites at the Carlyle appeal to travelers from all walks of life. “On the road, be it for business or pleasure, traveling alone or with family, we all look for that special place that gives us that home-away-from-home feeling,” says Adams. The Carlyle Suites is it. Stretch out in your unusually large suite that includes separate working, dining, sitting and sleeping spaces. Each suite has king or one or two double beds and many have additional sleep-sofas—perfect for extra kids or adults. Fully equipped kitchens give you option of eating in, whether grabbing a quick breakfast or preparing a small meal. Special Note on Accessibility to our Guests with Disabilities: The Carlyle Suites Hotel has accessible guestrooms with roll-in showers and accessible kitchenettes; however, there are 4 marble steps in the lobby that provide the only access to all our guestrooms, the restaurant and the meeting rooms. Our art deco hotel was built in 1939 and due to certain physical site constraints, it has not yet been feasible to provide a permanent accessible route around the lobby steps. We do, however, have a portable lift to provide our guests with disabilities access to our guestrooms and the public areas of the hotel.
